All our clips are 26c each.
Hidden fixing clips are the preferred and recommended method of securing composite decking boards.
The hidden composite decking clips are designed to fit in the rebates you see on the decking boards. We predominantly provide a range of stainless clips as a preference, and at the same time will supply the more common plastic fixing clips. All our composite board clips are 304 stainless steel as are the screws we provide.
We designed our steel fixing clips to create a gap of 3mm only. A smaller gap such as this is often preferred because it looks more appealing. Our plastic clips achieve a slightly wider 5mm gap and give a markedly different look. Depending on your situation a 3mm gap may be required for building code in certain fire risk zones.
You will make your installation easier and faster when you use a clip system. The boards are laid with no damage to their integrity whatsoever. We have taken the time to source a selection of clips that eliminates the need to screw through the boards in almost all installations.
The deck looks much cleaner when fixed in this way and there will never be any issues for raised fixings catching bare feet.
You can use the composite decking clips on timber or steel joists. We provide screws that are stainless and designed for timber. They can be used in steel if the steel is pre-drilled. We also have a steel fixing screw in our range.

Frequently asked questions
Should I use hidden composite decking clips?
Installing decking with a hidden fastening system creates a clean, smooth surface. Rather than installing screws through the top of every deck board, clips are attached to the joists and pin down boards using the rebate in the edges. It is important to use a hidden fastening system.
Can you screw down composite decking?
Yes, you can do this if absolutely necessary, and you must pre drill the boards, and for best results, countersink before fixing the board.
Can you screw decking straight to concrete?
No, this is simply not recommended. There must be some form of joist to fix the boards too. In low height situations then there are options that we are happy to discuss with you personally.
